Rt Revd Louise Lombard - De Jonge Ritus
Bishop
Louise wass Bishop of De Jonge Ritus, an ordinariate within
OCAC. De Jonge Ritus is derived from the Young Rite, a group which
have made a significant contribution to liberal catholicism.
Bishop Louise also served
as Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of Europe. Ordained by Bishop
Johannes van Alphen and others including Bishop
Alistair Bate, +Louise has 'LCAC' on her ordination certificate and was
always close to our work. Later consecrated by Bishop Markus van
Alphen, she attended many of our events
and prayed and supported the work for some years.
+Louise entered the minor orders in the VKK (Liberal catholic Church) serving in Amsterdam and Naarden. She studied theology at NPB (Dutch Liberal Protestants) and became pastor, specialising in searching for missing persons.
Bishop Louise passed to Glory after an accident which fatally injured her in 2019. She passed over on the 14th January 2020. As her contribution to our church is considerable, we have included her in the ex-officio pages in regonition of her love, compassion and devotion to Christ within our church.
