  Adrian Friel - Priest
Revd. Fr. Adrian FrielFr Adrian Friel has been an ordained priest for two years and serves in Coleraine, Northern Ireland. Fr Adrian has worked for a national charity for the past 20 years. He holds a degree from the Open University in Health and Social care. He studied philosophy at St Kieran’s seminary in Kilkenny and also attended Maynooth pontifical college to continue his studies for priesthood. It was here that Fr Adrian received the minor orders of reader and acolyte. His chosen ministry is in palliative and end-of-life care with specialist interest in spiritual care for people with dementia and their families. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fr Adrian working with local church leaders established the first dementia-friendly ecumenical church service in Northern Ireland, a model that has been adopted by various church groups across Northern Ireland. He is a chaplain to a local nursing home where he conducts communion services and blessings of the sick. Fr Adrian offers his ministry to all, ensuring no one is excluded from his services. He incardinated into the Old Catholic Apostolic Church in June 2026.

Fr Adrian ministers alongside Bp Paul Creaner and  Fr Stefan in Belfast. He was part of the altar party at Bp Paul Creaner's Consecration at All Souls Belfast and assists regularly at the Oratory Society.
